Spa Filter Cartridges
Let’s imagine: you’ve decided to start off your weekend in style. You’ve had a long day, so you kick back, and relax in your spa or hot tub, until… you realise your hot tub filters are broken and need replacements. It’s one of the most frustrating things!
At Alford & Lynch, we’ve committed ourselves to making sure that the hot tub filter changing process can be as stress-free for you as possible. Our brand-corresponding filters are made with high density micro membrane fabric, adhere to all safety standards, and are sturdy and resilient. That means that as well as saving you the cost of expensive branded filters, you’ve also guaranteed that your hot tub filters can withstand the test of time: no need for constant, pricey replacements!
Can I Run My Spa Without A Filter?
While it is physically possible to run your spa, swimming pool or hot tub without a filter, we don’t recommend it.
A spa, pool or hot tub filter’s purpose is to filter out any debri and dirt from your equipment’s water, before it can have the chance to infiltrate the pumps and cause clogging damage and poor water quality. If you run your equipment for an extended period of time without a filter in place, debri and dirt will build up and could cause serious damage to your pumps, piping and water hygiene.
Alford & Lynch’s pool, spa and hot tub filters are efficient, effective and well-priced: so by obtaining a filter now, you save money on costly repairs in the long run.
How Long Do Hot Tub Cartridge Filters Last?
We highly recommend that you clean your hot tub filters regularly, to ensure their lifespan lasts as long as possible. As a rule of thumb, you should aim to rinse your spa filter weekly, and deep clean it using a cleansing solution at least every month.
Even with these precautions though, hot tub filters do need to be replaced annually. This is to ensure that they keep working at peak performance, and that you don’t have to worry about filter degradation or poor water quality.
If you have any questions or if you’re unsure of your own filter’s lifespan, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
How Do I Find The Correct Filter For My Hot Tub?
Trying to find the correct hot tub filter can be daunting, but we’re here to make it as easy as possible. Some hot tub manufacturers stamp the filter/part number onto the filter itself, which means you just need to search for that particular stamp code/filter identifier. In other cases, manufacturers don’t do this, and you may need to measure the hot tub filter and then identify one that fits those measurements.
It sounds like a lot of work, but it doesn’t have to be! Our cross-reference chart shows you all of the most common filters, and the product specifications of each. Of course, it also shows you the superior, cheaper Alford & Lynch alternative: just follow the guide, and order today!
How Do I Know What Size Filter Cartridge I Need?
If you do not have your user manual or if your filter does not come with specifications stamped/outlined, you may have to manually measure it.
To do this, utilise a ruler or measuring tape.
- Measure the hot tub filter length, from top cap to bottom cap – not including any attachment points or threads
- Measure the inside diameters of both the top and end cap
- Measure the outside diameter of the end cap
- Search these measurements on our site, and the results shown will be for filters with the specifications you need
If you have any questions or if you’d like some help with the process, reach out to us today. It’s our Alford & Lynch mission to provide you with the best hot tub filter possible – and support you in the process from start to finish!
